RodMap is a fishing log that lives on your phone. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. We don't run any servers that receive your catches.
RodMap keeps the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:
To name a session after the water you fished, RodMap asks your phone's built-in place-name service to look up a catch's coordinates. On iPhone this is Apple's service; on Android it is Google's. They receive the coordinates for that lookup. We don't.
We do not collect or receive your catches, locations, photos, notes or anything you type. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking identifiers.
Export in Settings makes a zip file of your catches and photos. It goes only where you choose to save or share it.
Each permission is requested when you first use the related feature, and each can be changed later in your phone's settings.
Your data may be included in your phone's normal backup, according to your own device settings; we have no access to those backups. Deleting a catch in the app removes it from the app's storage. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your phone.
RodMap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
